—School Board—

The school board assumed its role and responsibility for governing the school district at the conclusion of the election process. Their duties include, but are not limited to:

• Hire the chief administrator and provide counsel and accountability to him/her
• Represent the school district to the community at large
• Participate in and/or provide assistance in fundraising
• Provide long-range planning for district development
• Provide curriculum oversight for the academic program

—Church Sponsors—

Church sponsors support the Yucaipa Valley Christian School District in the following ways:

• They hold up the district, students, board members, teachers, staff, and administrators in prayer
• They are open and vocal supporters of Christian education in the greater Yucaipa-Calimesa area
• They encourage church members to be YVCSD friends and financial supporters of the school district, over and above their tithe to the church
• They support the school district financially as they are able
• They consider monthly contributions toward needs-based tuition assistance, to help families from their specific church
• They facilitate the district in its desire to communicate to all Christians in our community by allowing monthly newsletters to be distributed at their church (e.g., as bulletin inserts)
